During the SARS-CoV-2 virus pandemic and the introduction of curfews, many jobs have shifted to working from home. Today, four years after the start of the pandemic, more and more fellow citizens tend to occasionally step out of their comfort zone and do their duties from shared offices, which also serve as an excellent opportunity to get to know other types of jobs, thus creating a synergy of the new age!
This was recognized by private individuals, and co-working centers began to spring up in our city. However, the Ecological Association “Zeleni Sad” recognized the need to build a unique and innovative type of co-working center, which will have a minimal impact on the environment. With that, a unique “Green co-working center” was established.
“Zeleni Sad” is an association that celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2023. Founded as an association that is non-governmental, non-partisan and non-profit, whose goals are as follows:
During this period, the Association implemented more than 30 projects, work actions and workshops in the territory of the City of Novo Sad. The projects were financed by state institutions (local, provincial, national level, with partner projects financed by the European Union) and private companies that recognized the importance of socially responsible work.

Each project occupies its special place in the hearts of the people of Zelenosađe, and we especially single out the projects with which we raised the awareness of the youngest fellow citizens about ecology and environmental protection, all with an interactive approach.
In cooperation with the City Administration for Environmental Protection, eight editions of “Ekobojanki” were organized on various environmental topics. The eco-coloring book is made of recycled paper and follows the story of Emma and Boki, who teach our youngest fellow citizens about certain eco-topics throughout the entire coloring book.
The “EcoMan” project supported by the Provincial Secretariat for Sports and Youth is also very significant for the Association, as it shows an innovative way of raising awareness among the general public about the need for waste disposal and recycling. Supporting the saying “A healthy mind in a healthy body”, we teach fellow citizens about the importance of outdoor physical activity.
One of the big projects to which we are particularly attached is the establishment of a new park in Novi Sad: Sentandrejski Park in Primorska Street. Sentandrejski Park was opened on May 6, 2022, jointly with PUK “Gradsko Zelenilo” Novi Sad, it is arranged on 27,500 square meters. The project was financed by the company NIS as part of its social responsibility program “Communities together 2021”.

During the last year, we have received five new, active members, to whom we transfer many years of knowledge in project management, both writing and implementation. Members of the association come from different fields (sociology, ecology, chemistry, environmental protection…) and different cities (Sombor, Novi Sad, Sremska Mitrovica, Bor, Šabac…) and that is something we are proud of. However, the most important thing is that we are all friends, that all points of view are respected, and that we jointly build ideas and share a common love – nature.
